To Order

If you want to order a rocking chair you see on the site or order a custom chair, you can either email me at pete@pdlrockers.com or call 609-476-4361. For some unknown reason we don't always get email from the website, so please call or use this email address pleecarpenter@aol.com. I accept cash or checks. New Jersey residents must pay 7% sales tax. All checks must clear before delivery.

I can email you pictures of your chair at various stages of construction or I can ship all pictures with chair.

For all rocking chairs, I require a $1,500.00 deposit before start date and the balance before shipping or if delivered by me, balance on delivery.  Please allow four to five weeks for delivery.

Sizes and pricing

The standard sizes of the chairs are:                     

Small for people 5' to 5'6"                    $3,500.00  
                      
Medium for people 5'7" to 6'                 $3,500.00   

Large for people 6' o 6'6"                     $3,500.00

Woods

Below are pictures of some of the woods I use to make my rocking chairs.  I am willing to use exotic woods if available and will contact you within 24 hours with a price as exotic wood prices vary.  Click on the pictures below to get a better view.

Custom fit chairs

Any rocking chair smaller or larger than the standard sizes is a custom fit chair. Any custom fit chair is built with very specific measurements, ideally to fit one person. I have to construct all new forms to fit individual measuremens. It is costly and time consuming. I will provide you with a measuring chart and instructions.
 
Extra small for people under 5'                                   $4,500.00

Extra large for people over 6'6"                                  $4,500.00

Shipping

I will personally deliver the rocking chair locally for a minimum of $50.00 depending on distance. I will deliver to Eastern  Pennsylvania, Delaware and Southern New York for $100.00. I would prefer to deliver the chair myself to avoid any damage from shipping.

For orders going outside of Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware New Jersey and New York, I will contact the best carrier for your area and get back to you with a current price. Shipping prices can range from $200 to $500.

I pack the rocking chair in a wooden crate that I build. I then wrap the rocker in moving blankets and stabilize it with strategically placed styrofoam to protect and cushion the rocker. My charge is $100.00 for the packing materials and will be included in the final bill

If the rocking chair is shipped to you, I do ask that you inspect it when it arrives. Inspect the crate for any damage. If there is damage, please write it on the delivery receipt, take pictures and keep all packing. If there is any damage, notify me promptly for insurance purposes.  

Guarantee

This is a high quality hand crafted piece of furniture. an heirloom piece meant to last for generations. With that, I extend to you a life time guarantee (my lifetime).

If during my lifetime this rocker under normal use fails due to craftsmanship, I will gladly repair it, free of charge (except shipping charges).
